Work Towards Advanced Accreditation in Nature Based Therapy

The Certification Pathway is for practitioners who want to complete the formal assessment process and work towards Advanced Accreditation in Nature Based Therapy. It includes the complete NBT Training experience, plus five Certification Assessments, assessment review and feedback.

The Certification Pathway includes everything in NBT Training, plus a professional assessment process designed to demonstrate your understanding and integration of Nature Based Therapy.

Your Certification Assessments

  • Indigenous Philosophy Project
    Explore Indigenous philosophy, connection, identity, ancestry and community.
  • Nature Journal
    Document your experiences and evolving relationship with nature.
  • Holistic Counselling Role Play
    Demonstrate the integration of holistic counselling and Nature Based Therapy.
  • Group Therapy Facilitation
    Demonstrate your ability to facilitate Nature Based Therapy within a group setting.
  • Research Essay
    Bring your learning together through research and critical reflection.

These assessments are designed to demonstrate how you have understood, experienced and begun to integrate Nature Based Therapy into your professional practice.

Scholarship Opportunity

We believe financial circumstances shouldn’t be a barrier for practitioners who feel genuinely called to this work.

A limited number of 50% scholarships are available for the Certification Pathway, reducing the course fee from $5,300 to $2,650.

Scholarships are available to applicants who can demonstrate:

  • Financial need
  • A strong commitment to bringing Nature Based Therapy into their professional practice or community

As part of your application, you’ll be asked to provide a short 300–500 word statement sharing your background, financial circumstances, and how you intend to use Nature Based Therapy in the future.

Enrol & Begin Your Journey

Once accepted, you’ll receive your enrolment and payment options. After enrolment, you’ll receive access and can begin your Nature Based Therapy journey.

Already completing NBT Training?
You can apply to add Certification during your 12-month access period for an additional $1,500.

Need financial support?
A limited number of 50% scholarships are available for eligible Certification applicants.

IICT Membership & Professional Recognition

The Certification Pathway is professionally recognised through the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT).

Students who successfully complete the Certification Pathway may be eligible for relevant IICT membership pathways, practitioner insurance and professional recognition, subject to IICT and insurer eligibility requirements.
